The nanorings with silicone

Nano rings with silicone provide a particularly small and discreet attachment, while the silicone layer helps to reduce pressure on the hair. These rings are designed for use with nano ring extensions and are also suitable for Genius Wefts. They offer a secure, long-lasting, and virtually undetectable method of hair extension that, when applied correctly, is gentle on your client's hair.

Each pack contains 100 rings, enough to attach four packs of nano ring extensions (100 strands in total). As the rings are nickel-free, they are also suitable for individuals with a nickel allergy.

Which kinds of rings are best?

When installing nano ring extensions, there are two types of rings that can be used: nano rings with or without silicone. (Micro rings are only intended for wefts, not for nano ring extensions.) Which variant is best depends partly on the hair type. If your client's natural hair is a little more sensitive, the rings with silicone are better than those without, as the silicone layer minimises the pressure on the hair.
Nano rings with silicone are only half a millimeter larger than standard nano rings. This means that you also get unobtrusive and comfortable hair extensions with this attachment method.

Installing Nanoring Extensions

The application of hair extensions should only be carried out by trained professionals.

Preparation
  • To ensure a smooth process, the rings should be laid out before starting the hair extension application. Thread several rings onto the loop needle in advance to avoid the need to add a new ring for each individual extension.
  • The client's hair should be dry, clean, and free from any styling residue.

Attaching the Nano Rings

  • Using a tail comb and sectioning clips, section off the client's hair. Take a strand of hair of an appropriate thickness—ensure that as much hair as will fit through the ring is pulled through. If too little hair is used, the extension may not hold securely. A protective disc can also be used to prevent stray hairs from getting in the way.
  • Now, guide the sectioned strand through the opening of the loop needle.
  • Slide the nano ring up over the needle and pull the strand downwards so that the ring is positioned a few millimetres away from the scalp.

Securing the Strands

  • Once the ring is in place, insert the metal tip of the nano ring extension through the ring. The tip should be positioned behind the ring, not in front of it—this ensures the bond remains as discreet as possible.
  • Use nano ring pliers to press the ring shut securely.

Removal

  • To remove nano ring extensions, simply use pliers to bend the ring back open. These rings cannot be reused once removed.
