Easy preparation of tape extensions

Tape extensions can be reused after removal. However, it is important to remove the residue of the old adhesive first and to apply the new strips correctly. This adhesive, which comes in a pack of 60 strips, is already cut to size so that it is ready for use. The strips offers a strong yet gentle bond. This means that the extensions stay firmly in the hair. Despite this, they can be easily removed with the appropriate solvent. The adhesive strips are transparent. The blue masking paper is peeled off and is therefore not visible.

Why are replacement tapes important?

Replacement adhesive strips are an essential product for anyone who uses tape extensions. New extensions come with the glue already applied. After 6-8 weeks, it is recommended to remove the hair extensions. Replacement strips are required if you want to re-install the tape-in extensions.

With good care, the tape extensions can usually be re-installed several times. With our replacement stips, you can easily re-tape your extensions and give them good durability. They are the perfect solution for this.

Tips for usage

To help get the most out of your replacement strips, we have put together some useful information.
First, the extensions must be removed from your own hair. We recommend using the bond remover for this. Once all the pieces have been removed, proceed as follows:

  • Cleaning: Make sure that the base of the tape extensions is clean and free of oils or styling residue before applying the new adhesive. To completely remove the residue, you can use an electric tape remover. It is also possible to clean the tapes with your fingers. (Tip: You can put a little baby powder on it to make the glue come off easier). After the old adhesive has been removed, the extensions should be washed and blow-dried. Then you can apply the tapes.
  • Positioning: Make sure that you accurately place the strips on the base of the extensions to ensure good adhesion. The tape must not be positioned at an angle. With classic tape extensions, make sure that the strip is placed onto the roughened side (One side of the base of the tape extensions is a little rougher than the other.)
  • Durability: Press on the new tape firmly. The tape extensions will then be ready for use again.
  • Care: For washing and caring for the extensions, we recommend our care set, which is tailored to their needs.
The tape extensions should only be installed by trained professionals. After installing the extensions, you should not wash your hair for 48 hours. Avoid washing the hair upside down. Products such as oil, masks or conditioners should not come into direct contact with the adhesive. You can find more important information about the care of extensions in our care instructions.

The right choice of tape adhesive

We offer various types of replacement tapes. They are suitable for classic tape-ins as well as for invisible tapes.
If you were happy with the adhesion of our tape extensions, we recommend the blue strips. This is the standard adhesive that comes whith new extensions. You can also use the ones on the roll if you don't mind having to cut it. The 60 replacement tapes (blue) and the tape roll are made of the same adhesive. The only difference is that the rolled up tape needs to be cut to size.
Our 'Super Tapes' are our strongest adhesive strips. We would only recommend these if you had problems with hold of the blue adhesive.
The 'flex tapes' also have a strong hold. They can be removed more easily without leaving any residue.
The 'single tapes' are single sided stips. These should only be used as a counterpart for the extensions if you want to insert them individually. Please don't apply the sigle tapes directly onto the base of the extensions, as they do not work like that.
