Reuse your tape extensions easily!

One of the reasons why tape extensions are so popular is that they can be easily reused after removal. All you have to do is remove the old adhesive, clean the strands and attach the replacement adhesive strip. The extensions are then ready for use again. This tape roll already has the right height of 0.8 cm, so you only need to cut it to the right width. The adhesive itself is transparent. The blue masking paper is removed before insertion and is therefore not visible. The replacement tapes are suitable for all hair colours.

Replacement adhesive strips are essential tools for anyone who wants to reuse tape extensions. Our new extensions always come with adhesive strips already applied. However, after about 6-8 weeks, it is recommended to move the hair extensions up. This requires fresh adhesive strips.
With proper care, tape extensions can usually be reused several times. Our replacement tapes allow for easy and reliable preparation of the extensions, ensuring their longevity. They offer an ideal solution for making tape extensions ready for use again - quickly and effectively.

tips for applying the replacement tapes

To make the most of your new adhesive strips' potential, we have put together some helpful tips for you:

Cleaning:

Make sure that the base of your tape extensions is thoroughly cleaned before applying the new adhesive strips. It should be free of oils, styling products or adhesive residue. An electric tape remover can be used to remove the old glue. Alternatively, the adhesive residue can also be removed with your fingers; this is just a little more time-consuming. Once the residue has been removed, the strands should be washed and dried. Then you can proceed to apply the new tape.

Positioning:
Pull a piece off the roll and apply the strip onto the surface of the strand. The tape should be flush with the strand on one side, so that you only have to cut off the other side. Make sure that you place the adhesive strip neatly and straight onto the base of the extensions. This ensure the best possible adhesion. With classic tape extensions, it is important to apply the replacement tape to the roughened side. When cutting the adhesive tape, make sure that the adhesive is exactly the same width as the strand. It should not be shorter nor wider.

Durability:
Press the new adhesive strips firmly to ensure a long lasting connection. After this step, the tape extensions are ready for use again.

Care:
We recommend our specially designed hair care set for cleaning and caring for your extensions. After installing the extensions, you should make sure not to wash your hair for 48 hours. You should also avoid washing your hair upside down. Products such as hair oil, conditioner or masks must not come into direct contact with the adhesive area in order not to affect the durability. You can find more tips on caring for the extensions in our detailed care instructions.

The right choice of tapes

We offer different variants of replacement tapes that are compatible with both classic tapes and invisible tapes.
If you are satisfied with the performance of the original glue on our extensions, we recommend the blue replacement tapes. As an alternative to the roll, you can also use the pre-cut replacement tapes, which make application even easier and more straightforward. The 60 replacement tapes (blue) and the tape roll only differ in their shape: Both use the same adhesive, but the tape on the roll has to be cut to size.

The Super Tapes are the strongest adhesive strips in our range. They are a good choice especially if you had problems with the hold of the classic adhesive.
The flex tapes also offer strong adhesion. However, they have the advantage that they can be removed more easily without leaving any residue.
The single tapes, on the other hand, are not suitable for preparing extensions because they only stick on one side. This special tape variant serves as a counterpart when individual strands are to be inserted (no sandwich method).
