The fine comb: your practical helper to remove adhesive residue from your hair

We've all been there: You've just removed your tape-in extensions, but in some places the adhesive residue just won't come off. A fine comb is the perfect tool for removing adhesive residue after the removal of hair extensions. With its fine-toothed structure, it ensures that the hair is thoroughly cleaned. Whether you're a professional who regularly puts in and removes tape extensions in the salon, or whether you've removed your tape extensions at home - the fine comb will help you to loosen the stuck areas.

Benefits of a fine comb:

  1. Precise removal of adhesive residue: The fine teeth effectively grip even the smallest chunks of glue, ensuring thorough, residue-free removal.
  2. Extra-fine teeth: Unlike a conventional comb or brush, this comb features extra-fine teeth. On one side, the spacing is one millimetre, while on the other, the teeth are just half a millimetre apart. This allows the comb to grip stuck glue more effectively and pull it down.
  3. Versatile use: The comb is not only suitable for removing tape adhesive residue. If you have worn keratin bond extensions and still have traces of keratin left in certain areas after removal, you can easily comb them out with this fine-toothed comb.
  4. Durable and easy to maintain: Made from sturdy plastic, the comb is long-lasting and easy to clean.

Tips for use

  • Before you start removing the extensions, brush the hair carefully. You can use the classic extension brush or a detangling brush for this.
  • When removing the tapes, work strand by strand. This means first removing one extension strand using the solvent. (You can find specific instructions for using the bond remover on its product page.) Then, immediately check whether any adhesive residue remains in your hair at that spot. Comb it out before proceeding to the next extension.
  • You can also apply a bit of solvent to the glued area, or a little oil (argan oil for example), and let it work for a short time. The glue should then be easy to comb out.
  • Please be careful not to pull or tug on your hair to avoid damaging it.
  • After all the extensions have been removed, including the glue residue, you can wash your hair with an exfoliating shampoo. We would not recommend washing your hair if there is still a lot of glue residue in it. The residue should be combed out as thoroughly as possible before washing your hair.
